The 13 artists Andy hand-picked to grace Variations do more justice bringing the essence of the "Great Black Music" to life. Whether hip hop, spoken word, soul, free or funky, the diverse artists on this PTR compilation share common ground in the Nile of jazz. Some of the artists include Amiri Baraka, Clifton Joseph, Avram Fefer Trio, Rainer Wrens and Billy Bang plus more. All proceeds will be going towards the Tyndale St. George Community Centre in Montreal, a place that is close to the heart of Andy.

We also released three singles towards the end of 2007, LAL Lost Remixes which is a collection of unreleased remixes that is definitely making some noise. Voice Remixes more head nodders courtesy of Think Twice, Moonstarr and Get Nice. And Monk Swing a limited 12inch Tribute to Thelonious Monk. All these releases are getting massive support worldwide and they are available from the PTR online store!

As you may or may not know 2008 will be PTR's 10th year so we will be doing events and releases to commemorate this. Once again thanks to all the supporters out there that were behind us back in '98. It all started with Code:416, and over the years we've introduced you to artists such as LAL, Moonstarr and Voice.

Think Twice  is one half of the Montreal's Specifics crew.."With a Loop and some Swing" explores the jazzy laid by style of his production, with help from Montreal's finest emcess, Goodvibes, Karma, Lotus, Butta Beats, Golden Boy plus more.. Originally only released in Japan, now exclusively available to PTR..
