Mixed Portuguese and Irish Montrealer, Sarah Linhares is stepping it up this summer by dropping her debut release, the Messages From The Future EP.  This digital only preview is an introduction to her upcoming full-length Future Soul album, Messages From The Future, which is slated to drop Fall 2009. This girl's music innovatively explores variations in electronic and urban bass heavy soul. It combines her raw thought-provoking lyrics and sweet melodic vocals together with outstanding beat production and musicianship. The eclectic roster of both talented and established producers and musicians on the upcoming releases include Moonstarr, Kenlo, Think Twice, The Incubator, Aklimatize, Sikh Knowledge, Camplaix, and Nantali Indongo from Nomadic Massive.

 In September 2007, Sarah made her mark upon the international music map when she was granted a highly coveted spot as participant at the Red Bull Music Academy in Toronto.  While attending lectures and workshops with a wide range of music industry artists and visionaries including the great Mulatu Astatke and Randy Muller, she also had the opportunity to collaborate with diverse and talented musicians from every corner of the globe including Om'Mas Keith from Sa-Ra Creative Partners.

 In 2005 Sarah teamed up with Soltribe , spending four months writing, recording, and performing in Venezuela. This experience helped solidify her deep love for Latin and Brazilian music. She has played Surdo (Brazilian Bass drum) and sung back vocals with Estacao da Luz, Montreal’s finest Afro Brazilian Samba band. She also trained and performed in Brazilian dance for many years. This rigorous dance training has enhanced her live performances immensely. This girl can move and on stage her energy is infectious!

 She dropped a digital single with Soltribe called Pura Vida on Public Transit Recordings, featuring a stellar Fred Everything remix in 2008. In addition, she was featured on Moonstarr’s full length album, Instrumentals Forever, on P-Vine Japan and also found her way onto PTR’s promotional Next Stop compilation.
